Staff:
Full and part time positions working within the Guest Services
Department. Job involves
preparation and caring for all facilities; cleaning, linen service, and service
to guests. Position includes
salary or hourly pay plus benefits. Dining
Room Server:
Part time positions (24 hrs per week, more during the summer) under the
direction of the Dining Room Supervisor, within the Food Service Department.
Duties include dining room set up & clean-up, handling of food &
beverage items, serving and waiting on guests as part of the food service team
at Camp Berachah. Hourly pay and
benefits available. Assistant
Cook:
A part-time position. Participate
in all phases of food service, including the supervision of staff, menu
planning, ordering and food preparation. Reports
directly to the Food Service Manager and carries out assigned duties in the
absence of the manager. Camp
Berachah serves over 150,000 meals each year, with average guest counts
sometimes reaching 1,500 meals each day in the summer.
Hourly pay & benefits available. Operations/Maintenance Worker: A part-time maintenance staff (repairs, projects, and grounds) work as part of the Operations/Maintenance Department team, under the supervision of the Operations Manager. The department is responsible for preventive maintenance, light construction (special projects), supporting guest groups (setting up chairs, moving furniture etc.), repairs of camp facilities, buildings, equipment, vehicles, and grounds work (trash, mowing, garden care etc.) Pay & benefits available. Last updated: October 4, 2002 Volunteer Positions Hundreds of volunteer hours are used at Camp Berachah each year to support the many areas of ministry. Volunteer counselors each summer, office work, outside maintenance and grounds work, and other special areas. It is a wonderful way to give time and energy to assist in the ministry of seeing lives changed through Christian camps and conferences. Writer/Development: A volunteer position to assist in
preparing and writing grant requests to support both ongoing ministry and the
development needs of Camp Berachah Ministries.
Some benefits and expense reimbursements possible. Bulk
Mail and Office Help: Volunteer
help is used to help prepare the camp’s bulk mailings, brochures, newsletters,
and letters each month. Set
your own flexible hours working with the camp office staff, and enjoying the
Christian fellowship. Maintenance
and Grounds:
Volunteers are needed on special projects dealing with landscaping,
repairs and construction skills throughout the year.
Weekends or weekdays available. Kitchen
Help:
Each week hundreds of guests visit Camp Berachah and are fed by a food service
staff that serves over 140,000 meals a year.
Volunteers can help each weekend to prepare and serve meals. Counseling Staff: Day and resident camp counselors needed for 2 or more weeks, for weekly sessions working with campers ages 5-17.
